Closure Cards

For: AuMHC OA Team
Occasion: end of internship

My internship has come to an end, so I made the people I work with some cards to thank them for  the last 9 months.

This card is for our director and is my artistic take on the AuMHC logo.

I learned a lot from my time with AuMHC and am very excited for my next steps.

Art Lady Birthday

For: Anna
Occasion: her birthday

Anna is very artsy and fun, so for her card I wanted to create something artsy and fun! I ended up with this mystical watercolor lady, and I think it's pretty neat for an Earth Day birthday.

I miss Anna so much and hope she's doing well in St. Louis!

Dog Birthday

For: Jess
Occasion: her birthday

Jess has a beautiful dog named Lily, so for her card, I did a watercolor of the pup and added some birthday touches. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I hope Jess has a wonderful day!

Canoe Birthday

For: My dad
Occasion: his birthday

My dad likes to canoe, so for his birthday card this year, I created a watercolor/pen sketch scene. The race decal is 417, which is April 17th and his birthday! I don't think a race is happening here though--just a relaxing day on the water.

I love my dad and miss him a lot and hope he has a great day!

K-pop Birthday

For: Ryan
Occasion: his birthday

Rara is a big K-pop (Korean pop) fan, so I created an image of him dancing to some tunes. The watercolor swirl above his head is the music, and his tie is flung over his shoulder, which is how you know some serious dancing is going on. The last fun detail is that he's holding up a two and a three, which happens to make his age.

I hope Rara has an awesome day and that he is dancing to K-pop all the time like I imagine.

Baseball Birthday

For: Joel
Occasion: his birthday

Joel's a big baseball fan and probably MLB-bound, so I featured the American pastime on his card. The lacing of the ball was fun to do, and I tried to make Joel's name in jersey letters.

I hope he has a great day and an awesome season!

Bunny Bonnet Easter

For: Christy
Occasion: Easter

Christy's Easter card features a bonnet-wearing bunny. The blue, orange, and yellow of her ensemble are a take on Christy's favorite colors, and I think this design turned out really great!

I hope the twin has a great Easter!

Easter Puppy

For: The Currys
Occasion: Easter

The Currys have an adorable puppy named Roxy who gets featured in most of their cards from me. For their Easter card, she's wearing a bunny ear headband and has found four eggs!

I miss the Currys a lot (and Roxers!) and hope they have a nice day.

Peep Easter

For: The Lombard Walshes
Occasion: Easter

Mom loves Peeps and always has them in the house at Easter. For my family's Easter card, I featured three of the marshmallow treats (Amy in yellow, Mom in pink, and Dad in blue). I hope they have a fun celebration and know that I like them a lot more than I like Peeps.

Elemental Birthday

For: My mom
Occasion: her birthday

My mom is a self-described math and science nerd. For her card, I created a Happybirthday element, which is replacing Tin on the periodic table. In the upper right corner, the electron rings make the date of her birthday, and the atomic weight at the bottom is the number of days in 50 years.

I hope she has a wonderful 50th!

Tree Design Birthday

For: JP
Occasion: his birthday

JP is a very artistic dude, so I figured for his birthday card I'd make a neat design! The base is watercolor and I added some Sharpie for some really striking contrast. I'm pretty pleased with it, and I hope JP has a great day!
