Perfect Tea Birthday

For Jackie's birthday card, I wanted to wish her a perfect cup of tea! The tea bag is relaxing and settling in to the swirly steam. The text reads "Have a Tea-rrific day!" I love Jackie so and hope she gets the temp just right on all her beverages this year!

Yoga Birthday

Robyn is amazing at yoga, so for her birthday card this I drew an illustration of her on the mat in a party hat in tree pose! I think I really captured her spirit in this card and hope she gets lots of presence this year!

Rolling Stones Birthday

For Joe's birthday card this year, I did my best rendition of the Rolling Stones mouth (which I learned is called the Hot Lips logo)! Joe is a connoisseur of classic rock and I had a great time coming up with this card design--here's hoping this year is a great one!

Cupcake Collage Birthday

 For: Lydia
Occasion: her birthday

Lydia is quite artistic and I always love seeing what projects she is up to! For her birthday card this year, I did a collage to create a cupcake along with her name in deep red letters. It's also the first time I used tiny washi tape to help punch up the card. I adore my dear cousin and hope this year is amazing!

Trombone Birthday

 For: Charlie
Occasion: his birthday

Charlie is playing the trombone now! For his birthday card, I made a fun illustration of him belting out "Happy Birthday, Charlie!" The song is coming off the page with a pretty neat 3D design feature.

A Debbie Dots first, after all this time! I had a blast making this card and hope it helped set the tone for his big day.

Floral Birthday

I had so much fun painting this card! Lexi is a dear friend of mine who I haven't gotten to connect with much recently, so I wanted to make sure her bday card was spectacular--lo and behold, this beauty is what came from that intention! I love Lex so and can't wait to see her in a few weeks! 

Thyme Birthday

To celebrate Grandma Carol's birthday, I did a watercolor illustration of a cute potted thyme holding some balloons! The text reads "Party Thyme," because who doesn't love some herby puns? I hope Grandma has a wonderful day and a flavorful year! 

Foam Finger Birthday

For: William

Occasion: his birthday 

William is a big sports fan! For his birthday card I used Broncos orange and blue to create this 3D foam finger that completes the phrase "Hope your birthday is #1"! We can't wait to see what sports victories he gets up to this year! 

Beach Birthday

Occasion: her birthday

Brittany loves a beach vacay where she can read! For her birthday card this year, I did a watercolor of her doing just that. I hope she has all kinds of relaxation this year -- and maybe a trip or two to assist!

B had me in our Secret Santa, and had this stamp made for me! Such a thoughtful gift I can't handle it. I hope she got lots of thoughtful gifts this year too!

Fondue Birthday

Corinne loves to go to the Melting Pot for her birthdays, so for her card this year I did a watercolor illustration of a tiny cupcake that can be dipped in some chocolate fondue! This card is delightfully silly to me -- I hope Corinne enjoyed it too and especially enjoyed her dinner!

Lifting Birthday

Jada is big into working out and being strong! To help her celebrate her birthday this year, I made a barbell with some heavy cupcakes on the end, but she's having no trouble lifting them! I'm so impressed with Jada's dedication and I hope she hits all her gains this year!

Space Baby

 For: Claire and Jer
Occasion: New Baby

To help celebrate the arrive of little Louie, I made a vibrant outer-space themed mobile. The text reads, "Welcome to the World!" and I am so pleased for Claire and family--I can't wait to meet the little traveler soon!

Phaser Birthday

 For: Uncle Vince
Occasion: his birthday

Uncle Vince is a fellow Trekkie! To help celebrate his birthday, I did an illustration of a TNG redshirt with a phaser shooting off an orangish beam. There's confetti a-plenty and the text reads "set phaser to party!" The idea of this card tickles me, and I hope it did the same for UV!

Banana Thank You

Occasion: Thank You

To thank the Kadlecs for hosting most of the Keane clan over the holidays, I made a colorful bunch of bananas with a "Thanks a bunch!" message. We consumed quite a few nanners over our days together, and I always appreciate the efforts that go into making family time so smooth. Here's hoping for health and happiness for us all in the new year!
