To help my Biegens celebrate the season of love and light, I used all my sparkly blue papers to create a dreidel in a heart that is emanating light. There's never been a better time to wish light and love on all the world--may we all settle in to the spirit of the holiday season.

Workshop Hanukkah Card

I was so excited to repackage a workshop I've run in the past for my team at work as part of our holiday party! I truly had a blast facilitating greeting card creation for this group of truly talented and engaged professionals. As I checked out the cards being made in the space, I was entirely gobsmacked at the talent and vulnerability folks came to the practice with!

I used the supplies to whip up a simple Hanukkah card for the Biegens featuring a star of David with some snow on it. Paired with a "peace" message, I really love how it came out, imperfect perfections and all!

Hanukkah Bow

To help Win and fam celebrate the festival of lights, I drew the shiniest, bluest, 6-sided-star-of-David pointiest bow I could ever have dreamed of. I love how shiny it is! It's rare that Debbie Dots attempts a shiny metallic effect, but with how cool this looks, we wonder why. Hoping the Biegens had a lovely time celebrating together and really let the light in after a year of blechy darkness!

Hanukkah Dreidel

To wish the Biegen family a happy Hanukkah, I created a dreidel made up of different festive symbols including a menorah, candles, coins, presents and stars of David! Doesn't it look pretty awesome? We had a lot of fun visiting a few weeks ago and I'm glad they liked the bread I made them for the challah-days!

To help kick off the festival of lights, I created this watercolor Menorah that is made of all kinds of branches, leaves, and flowers. I love its detail and the overall earthy vibe.

Hanukkah Candles

My lovely Biegen family has been such a support to me since I moved to Denver (there is no unconditional love like that of a long-time friend and a 9-month-old!). For their Hanukkah card, I watercolored a menorah in blue, then ripped it out and put it on a lime green background for pizazz.
I love them all very much and can't wait to see them in a few weeks to start off 2012 with some fun adventures!
