Magical Bachelorette Card

 For: Amy
Occasion: her bachelorette party

To help Amy celebrate her forthcoming nuptials, we had a super fun bachelorette party at a magic show! I made this card of a goofy magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat with the new magic words "Abraca-Bride-to-Be!" It was such a fun evening and we can't wait for the big day in a few weeks!

Donut Wedding Shower

For: The Future Mr. and Mrs. O'Shea
Occasion: Wedding Shower

Jess and O'Shea had a super fun donut-themed wedding shower, so to help celebrate, I created this sweet card featuring clouds raining donuts! I am pleased as punch with how this card turned out. It was a super fun shower and I can't wait for the wedding in 42 days!

Heart Shower

For: Alli
Occasion: bridal shower

To help celebrate Alli's shower, I created an image of her holding an umbrella among a sea of hearts. Her main wedding color is purple (and so was the shower!) so I had to use it in the card, of course! I love, love, love the style of this card. In all, there was some great art for this event (see the invites here) and I had so much fun being with the Keane-laws. Just a few weeks until the wedding!

Purple Shower Invites

For: Alli
Occasion: Her Bridal Shower

Jeannine asked me to do the invites for Alli's bridal shower, and of course I was honored and delighted to have to opportunity! For the design, I used her wedding colors and got to play a lot with white space. The design is so crisp and fun, while still being clearly hand-drawn. I got them printed on metallic cream paper, so there is a subtle sheen that I absolutely love (you can kind of see it in the bottom left corner). I could not be happier with how they turned out and am glad the recipients have liked them too!

Gnome Bachelorette

For: Katelyn
Occasion: her bachelorette party

Katelyn loves gnomes, so for her bachelorette party card, her co-gifters requested I create a gnome wearing lingerie. Despite being the strangest thing I will paint this summer, this card turned out pretty neat. My favorite detail is that the gnome is still wearing her boots, despite her sexy ensemble--I guess the hats and the boots just never come off!

Target Lingerie Bachelorette

For: Laura
Occasion: her bachelorette party

Laura met her future hubby at Target, so I decided to feature the bullseye as a pattern in a bra and panties set. I ended up getting her workout clothes, but figured the lingerie would be appropriate given the occasion! It was so fun celebrating last weekend with Laura and her crew of ladies--I hope the wedding is wonderful in a few weeks!

Sloth Bachelorette

For: The Twin
Occasion: her bachelorette party

Since The Twin's birthday card was such a hit, I thought I'd keep going with the sloth theme for her bachelorette party! I created a sloth wearing lingerie (which I'm really not sure sloths can manage). The sloth is uncomfortable and blushing, poor thing...

I feel real weird about this card, but I had such a blast hosting the twin's party and can't wait for the wedding!

Love Shower

For: The Twin
Occasion: bridal shower

For Christy's bridal shower card, I wanted to create a romantic scene of love pouring from the sky--I think this card with puffy clouds raining hearts over an orange sky with the lace background does the trick!

It was so fun to go back to Chicago for the shower, and my aunts did such a wonderful job putting it together. We're getting closer to wedding time!

Bridal Shower

For: Beth
Occasion: her bridal shower

For Beth's bridal shower, I created this watercolor of she and Nathan under a big umbrella. His pants are rolled up and she's wearing rain boots to protect them from the elements. Her wedding colors are fuschia, avocado, and lavender, so I tried to incorporate touches throughout the design. I love how it turned out, and had a great time at the shower!
