Spa Birthday

Sioux loves going to the spa, so for her birthday card I created a happy little Sioux wearing a green spa mask and cushy bathrobe. It was so wonderful to see her over her birthday weekend, and I hope she has an awesome and relaxing year!

Watercolor Wedding

For: My cousins JP and Katie
Occasion: their wedding

My cousin JP got married this weekend, so I made him and his new wife Katie a card to celebrate. The figures are simple pen and watercolor renditions of the happy couple, and the heart floating over their heads has their wedding date in it.

It was a beautiful ceremony and so fun to see the family down in Texas!

Yankee Birthday

For: Goober
Occasion: his birthday

Goober's a Yankees fan, so for his birthday card I featured this variation on the primary logo: the Uncle Sam hat has birthday candles on top! The big Y finishes off the "Happy Birthday" message, making the entire design very neat. I hope Goober has a great day and he enjoys watching the Yankees this year.

Volleyball Birthday

My cousin is an awesome volleyball player, so for her birthday, I created a pink, glittery volleyball! There is a birthday message woven in the net (non-regulation!). I hope Ceci has a wonderful day and that her entire year is an "ace!"

Happy Grad

My dearest Sarah Sot graduated and is headed out to Seattle to be a kick-awesome engineer! I am so proud of her and all the hard work she put in in college. She's truly an inspiration to us all.

Orange and Blue Thank You

I got to see some of my family over the whirlwind graduation weekend! To thank them for coming out and supporting me through my grad degree, I made these Illinois-themed cards. Orange and blue one last time...until the PhD!?

Italian Birthday

Terra went on a vacation to Italy after she graduated, and it sounded like a great time! For her birthday card, I created a very happy Italian stick-figure who is throwing flowers into the air and wishing Terra a happy birthday.

I miss Terra so much and am proud of everything she's accomplished (She just got her LSW)!

Mother's Day Garden

My mom has an awesome gardening setup, so for her Mother's Day card, I created a watercolor wheelbarrow full of spring flowers. It was so wonderful to get to see my macaroni mom-a-noodle today!

Birthday Fluffies

Jen really likes adorable things, so for her card I featured a watercolor bunny and puppy. They are decked out in party paraphernalia and cute to boot.
I miss Jen so much and hope she's having fun in Korea!

Engagement Mountains

My new coworker Amanda has recently gotten engaged and very sweetly invited me to her engagement party! I made her and Phil this card to wish them well on their journey together. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better!

Hawks Birthday

For Luke's card, I featured the Chicago Blackhawks' logo with an added birthday twist. When I made the card, the Hawks were still in the playoffs--I hope their loss doesn't spoil Luke's day!

Spring Birthday

Occasion: her birthday

Aunt Kelly's birthday is the first day of May, and I wanted to create a Spring scene to celebrate! She's wearing a big floppy hat and a bird has landed to take a nap. The background is abstract pastel watercolors, and it's all pretty relaxing.
