Coyote Thank You

To thank Theresa and Scott for hosting Alexander and I over the forth of July, I created this interesting design that captures coyotes mixed with the elements of the logo of their business! I love how it turned out and truly had a wonderful time with them down in the desert. It's become quite the tradition and I cannot wait for many years to come.

To thank Sharon and Stephen for a lovely evening of jazz out in Boulder, I did my best to watercolor illustrate the stage of the show with its instruments and flower lights. I made the flower centers spell out "thanks" for some extra fun hidden gratitude. I hope they had a lovely rest of their time in Colorado!

To thank Jennifer for a truly wonderful trip to Oregon, I made her a watercolor painting of Tillamook Head from the beach. I have so much fun any time we are together and am so grateful for our continued friendship. I can't wait to come back and visit again soon!

Ottawa Thank You

For their 40th wedding anniversary, the parentals took the entire Lombard fam contingent to Ottawa, IL for a lovely long weekend rambling around Starved Rock. To thank them for the planning and the fun, I drew one of the cool river bridge public art pieces as an N in a "Thanks" message. I love this card and hope it helps them remember the trip fondly.

Hummingbird Thank You

To thank Theresa and Scott for another amazing visit to their land in New Mexico, I drew a hummingbird based on a mural I saw in Jemez! I had such an incredible time with my friends in their new home and so enjoyed the community and companionship. Here's hoping we can spend many more Interdependence Days together!

Thanksgiving Pie

The Walsh-Rocks are the hosts with the most every Thanksgiving, so to share gratitude with them for setting up the big party this year, I made them a simple card featuring a delicious slice of pumpkin pie with the message "full of thanks!" I adore this family so, so much and am so sorry to miss them this year for the beautiful holiday celebration that they curate. I can't wait to see them at Christmas in under a month!

To thank Jennifer for being an incredible host for my trip to Astoria, OR, I did an illustration of this sweet seal with a "Thanks!" message in the background. I love the PNW subdued blues of this card! I had so much fun visiting with Jen and hiking around and exploring her new city--I can't wait to go back again soon!

To thank The Keanes yet again for their feat of hosting us all this summer, I did a watercolor illustration of the iconic Wellesley hotel! We had a lovely dinner there on the porch and in general just had a lovely time. It takes a lot of work to create such a relaxing time for the family, and so we are very grateful for all the efforts and can't wait to go back next year.

To thank the Samples for hosting us overnight for a ski trip, I played on their home's name of Six BearsWest by drawing them six bears wearing matching sweaters that spell out THANKS! I love the simplicity of this card and am so, so grateful to get to spend some time with Jim and Dianne this winter!

Sofi and Paul hosted us for an epic ski weekend earlier this month! To thank them for their hospitality, I created a mountain map with different lifts and green, blue, and black runs that spell out "Thank You"! I am so pleased with this card and had so much fun designing it. Can't wait to hit the slopes with the whole fam again next year!

To thank the Kadlecs for hosting most of the Keane clan over the holidays, I made a colorful bunch of bananas with a "Thanks a bunch!" message. We consumed quite a few nanners over our days together, and I always appreciate the efforts that go into making family time so smooth. Here's hoping for health and happiness for us all in the new year!

To thank the epic hosts of the Walsh+ Thanksgiving this year, I did a festive foliage watercolor and paired it with a simple "Give Thanks" calligraphy. I am forever and always grateful for the Walsh-Rocks overall incredibleness, and so appreciate all their work in allowing us to get together.

The Kadlecs came to visit us over Labor Day weekend, and we had a lot of fun! We played a game where you have to get your team to describe a word/phrase; I featured a phone with "Thank You" as the word to guess! It's so lovely to see family and we hope we have more visitors soon!

Balderdash Thank You

Aunt Glor and Uncle Vince came out to visit Mike and I for a truly glorious weekend of Colorado camaraderie! We had all the fun in the world, including playing the hilarious game Balderdash. I created a card from the game that has examples of the definitions that the silly-sounding words that would be on the front. The definitions include highlights of the visit: Compelling conversation, A week of delicious meals, Exploring and responding to nature, Fake definitions, Uproarious laughter. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to see them again soon!

My aunt and uncle stopped by Denver twice on their way to and from a summer vacation, and it was a real treat! To thank them for the laughs, dinners, and teaching me blackjack, I sent them this simple Thank You card featuring a word search with Thank You Very Much circled -- other words include "major," "black," "jack," and "laugh." I hope the rest of their summer was amazing!

To thank the Keanes for hosting another lovely family week at the Thousand Islands, I continued my growing Thank You card series featuring one of the iconic buildings of the park. This year, it's The Tabernacle! Many of the family went to a concert after Michael and I arrived, and it was a really lovely experience. Though the building is somewhat plain, I had a lovely time jazzing up some watercolor details of the trees and flowers. I had an even lovelier time spending the week with the fam!

To thank Theresa and Scott for their incredible hospitality at their Santa Fe home, I made them an illustration of a chile wreath shaped in a heart on their door. We had so much fun wandering around together and chatting about big life questions -- my heart was so full after the weekend I had to send a thank you card! I cannot wait to come visit again soon!
