Flower Thank You

 For: Grandma
Occasion: Thank You

I am a delighted recipient of a Grandma Carol original artwork that is proudly displayed in my bookshelf. I have wanted a CW original for years and am so excited to have a beautiful painting of flowers to look at every day.

Sympathy Sun

For: Uncle Jim
 Occasion: In Sympathy

To send well wishes to my uncle in the wake of his loss, I made a simple watercolor of a sun, some mountains, and a red bird paired with a simple, "with sympathy" message. Losing someone is never easy, and I hope he is able to find some small peace during this time.

Moon Birthday

 For: Robyn
Occasion: her birthday

For Robyn's first birthday card from me, I copied a tarot card style to create a mystical image of a waning crescent moon blowing out some candles. Robyn is such a neat friend, I really wanted to make a card that captured a bit of her unique spirit. Here's hoping we can all play Bananagrams again soon!

Beer Birthday

 For: Joe
Occasion: his birthday

For Joe's birthday card, I made an illustration of the happiest bottle of beer I've ever encountered who is holding a birthday balloon and wearing a little party hat on his cap. The text reads, "another beer older" because who doesn't love a pun! I hope Joe had the very best birthday and is looking forward to another year of great brews!

Geometric Flowers

 For: Jackie
Occasion: her birthday

For Jackie's birthday card, I wanted to give her some high-style design and ended up playing with these fun-shaped flowers. I really love how the colors pop and the shadow of the plants and pot on the blue. A pretty non-traditional design for a birthday, this card feels like something that could really appeal to Jackie's design sense! I hope she has an amazing birthday and doesn't even think about design (unless she wants to!).

Music-line Birthday

 For: Lydia
Occasion: her birthday

For Lydia's birthday card, I did an illustration of her hanging up notes on a silvery clothesline (and you can just see her undercut, too!). I love this image and the shadows and hope Lydia has the most incredible birthday!

Cake Brain Birthday

 For: Charlie
Occasion: his birthday

For Charlie's birthday card, I did an illustration of an x-ray with cake on the brain! I am a big fan of this design and hope Charlie gets all the cake he can dream of today!

Bright Birthday

 For: Lexi
Occasion: her birthday

To celebrate my dear Lexi's birthday, I created an illustration of a room with a bright string of banners and a very sprinkle-y cake and the bluest tablecloth I've ever created! I just love the feel of this card and wish like anything she and I could be sitting at those two chairs to celebrate her together--already looking forward to her visit soon!

Floral C Birthday

 For: Grandma
Occasion: her birthday

For my grandmother's birthday card, I created a floral ring with a silvery C in watercolor. I wanted to capture some whimsical beauty to help celebrate my dear grandmother and send her well-wishes for this next year!

Turtle Bike Birthday

 For: William
Occasion: his birthday

For William's birthday card, I did an illustration of turtle popping a wheelie! I love that the turtle put a birthday hat on his helmet and is having just the very best time. We were so bummed to miss the party and hope to see William and co. soon!

Book and Coffee Birthday

 For: Corinne
Occasion: her birthday

To help Corinne celebrate her big day, I created a watercolor of her snuggled up under a striped knit blanket, reading a book and drinking coffee. The book page reads, "Happy Birthday, Corinne!" What a happy coincidence in her moment of relaxation -- I hope her day and year is full of calm and peace!

Swirly Name Birthday

 For: Jada
Occasion: her birthday

To help ring in Jada's next year, I used my new masking pen to spell out her name and a swirl that I then covered in teal and blue watercolor. I really love the look of this card, and am glad Jada enjoyed it too!

Cake Shadow Birthday

 For: Uncle Vince
Occasion: his birthday

For Uncle Vince's birthday card, I created a watercolor of a single slice of cake with a single birthday candle radiating a bright light. It's all so bright it casts a shadow of the cake and candle! In a new year mood, I thought this image might set the right reflective tone for an early January birthday. It was such a treat to see Uncle Vince over the holidays and I hope his birthday is fantastic!
