For: Aunt Katy
Occasion: Thank you order
My aunt Katy ordered 10 thank you cards from me, so I created 5 different designs. I love making cards for people, and I'm a big fan of gratitude, so these were especially fun for me!
(The dots on this one are Braille for Thank You!)

Triangle Wedding
For: Livingston's cousins, Quinn and Elizabeth
Occasion: their wedding
My high school history teacher ordered a card from me for her cousin's wedding. It was wonderful to hear from her after all these years, and I was so excited to be able to make a card for her!
Livingston had let me know that the bride would be wearing bright pink shoes, and I thought it'd be fun to feature this playful special touch. The triangle shapes of the bride and groom add to this playfulness, altogether creating a very fun card.
I hope they had a great wedding and that Livingston enjoyed her time in Texas!

Reflection Birthday
For: The Twin
Occasion: Our birthday
For Christy's birthday card this year, I created a hilarious scene from our youth that involves matching t-shirts and a hall of mirrors. While looking at our various reflections in the mirrors, we got separated somehow. In trying to find her, I scanned the multitudes of my face, searching for hers. Becoming exasperated, I picked a direction and started walking towards another of my reflection, only to find it was The Twin! These things happen when you have the same face.
I miss my twin so much and wish I could run into her face all the time.

Nail Polish Birthday
For: Bridget
Occasion: her birthday
Bridget has lots of interesting nail polishes (including a crackle kind that she brought to a family party back in Illinois), so I thought I'd feature a few in her birthday card this year! I figured watercolor would make the bottles look flowy and cool, so I gave her a few choices.
I hope Bridge has a great day and some fantastic nails to match!

Truck Birthday
For: Uncle Greg
Occasion: his birthday
Occasion: his birthday
For a more masculine birthday card, I created an old-timey truck pen sketch right on the card stock itself. I always get nervous doing so, because one false line will mess it up and I've got to start over. This one turned out just fine though--and good thing too! My uncle is a pretty fantastic artist himself, and he deserves only my best effort for his birthday.
I hope he has a wonderful year!

Carolina Birthday
For: Jamie
Occasion: her birthday
Occasion: her birthday
Jamie is going to grad school in South Carolina, so I featured a beach scene with the crescent moon and palm tree in the background. The two figures are all in white, and I imagine they are celebrating Jamie's big day in a very chic, Carolina Cup-esque way. I hope this year brings Jamie all kinds of happiness, and a mint julep or two just for kicks!
Cape Birthday
For: Mandie
Occasion: her birthday
Occasion: her birthday
Manders would sometimes wear a pink Superwoman cape in college, and it was so playful that I think it helped brighten all of our days. For this year's card, I feature a silhouetted Mandie in her cape and a party hat, looking pensively off into the distance. Who knows what kind of birthday fun is in store for our heroine?!
I miss Mandie a lot and hope she had a great day!

Birthday Light
For: Sarah
Occasion: her birthday
Occasion: her birthday
Sarah Sot has always been a bottle of sunshine, and I thought this card perfectly wraps up what she means to me. She is goofy and wonderful and I miss her so much. I hope she's doing great out in Seattle--I really want to visit in the spring!

Get Well Pinky Promise
For: Christy
Occasion: Get Well Soon
Occasion: Get Well Soon
The Twin hurt her pinky and had to have surgery. I made this card to help speed along her recovery process, asking her to pinky promise that she'd get well soon. The hand is a pen sketch with colored pencil--I think it looks neat!
I hope rehab goes well and she heals up right quick!
