Thank You Flowers

For: Buddy's Vet
Occasion: Thank you

Chris's dog, Buddy, had some health issues the other week, so he had a visit to the vet. Buddy got great care, so Chris asked me to make a thank you card. It features Buddy with some flowers he unearthed to give to the vet. The text reads, "just want to say..."

Turns out, Buddy just wanted to say, "thanks!" I'm glad to hear Buddy is doing well, and was more than happy to make this card.

Button Flower Birthday

For: My twin
Occasion: her birthday

My twin loves buttons, so I decided to incorporate them into this year's birthday card! There are two flowers with button middles. The flowers are watercolored, and the image is framed by a blue stitch--a Debbie Dots first!

The inside features a simple "Happy Birthday!" with a watercolor splash background and the same blue stitch from the front.

I miss my twin so much, and I hope she enjoyed our day!

Panda Birthday

For: Mandie
Occasion: her birthday

Mandie's nickname in rugby was Panda, and I call her Mander-pand, and she is hug-able and lovable like a Panda besides! I drew a cartoon panda with a loving Mandie heart. The text reads "Mandie..."

On the inside, the panda is going to a party! The sign has a "Happy Birthday!" message on it as well.

I miss my Mander-pand, and hope she had an awesome birthday!

Butterfly Birthday

For: My cousin Bridget
Occasion: her birthday

For Bridget's card, I made a cut-out of a butterfly and the letters of her name. There are two different sparkly and colored papers in the background--hiding on the inside! I wonder what else may be on the inside of the card...

A heart, a birthday cake, and a "Happy Birthday" greeting! And, we can't forget the little butterfly.
I hope Bridge had a great day!

Thank You Bike

For: Chris
Occasion: Thank you

I had a bit of a cycling accident, and Chris helped me figure out where to go to get patched up, and he even fixed up my bike for me! To thank him for his help, I made this card that features my bike, Sal, bandaged up and with a hot water bottle on the seat.

It all could have been a lot worse, and I know it would have been without Chris to walk me through my first crash!

Creative Cupcake Birthday

For: Jamie

Occasion: her birthday

Jamie is a real genius when it comes to making awesome cupcakes--she is really extraordinarily talented. For her birthday card, I made a whimsical cupcake design in honor of her sweet creativity. I hope she has a great day and plenty of tasty treats!

Chicago Bears Birthday

For: Uncle Greg
Occasion: his birthday

My uncle is a big Bears fan, so he may recognize this image as a logo from the 1940s. Drawn on orange cardstock with blue marker, the background features the swipe of a bear claw. The football reads, "Uncle Greg."

On the inside, the bear put on some party attire and the ball reads "Happy Brithday!" I hope Uncle Greg has a great day and that the Bears have a great season!

Cute Cupcake Birthday

For: Sarah Sot
Occasion: her birthday

Sarah Sot is super adorable, and so I thought I'd try to make an adorable card for her birthday! Here she is, curly-haired and rosy-cheeked, holding a tiny little cupcake plate. I used colored pencil on blue cardstock for the image on the front.

On the inside, the cupcake has had a bite taken out of it! I miss Sarah a lot and I hope she has a great day.

Good Luck Tea

For: Theresa
Occasion: Good Luck

Theresa is just weeks away from destroying her licensing exam. To help with prep, I made this card that has a real tea bag in it! The text reads, "Thought it'd be nice if you relaxed with some tea before you got LICENSED!" I also sent along a few other teas so that she can have days and days of relaxation leading up to the big test.

I know she is going to do awesome, and I'm sure she can't wait to get it over with!
