Computer Birthday

 For: Alex
Occasion: his birthday

For Alex's birthday card this year, I did an illustration of a desktop computer whose screen reads, "Happy B-Day Alex!" in a bit-y font. My favorite detail of this card is that the monitor is wearing a party hat in a binary print! I hope Alex has a great birthday and gets to play lots of fun games this year!

Taskmaster Birthday

 For: Sioux

Aunts Sioux and Katy love the epic show Taskmaster, so for Sioux's birthday card, I did an illustration of the show's iconic duo: Greg Davies and Little Alex Horne! The text reads "Have a great birthday. Your time starts now." I am so pleased with how this card turned out and am so psyched for Sioux to have an epic year!

Butterfly Birthday

 For: Jess

GOAT Birthday

 For: Ankeet
Occasion: his birthday

I love this design! For Ankeet's card, I drew a pretty smug goat wearing sunglasses that reflect a birthday cake. The acronym GOAT stands for Greatest of All Time. Ankeet is basically the GOAT, and I hope he has the greatest birthday ever!

Colorful Birthday

 For: Ceci

To celebrate Ceci's birthday, I used my brown craft paper to make my colored pencils really pop! Full of florals and leaves and swirls, this card serves such a fun energy. The text reads, "Happy Birthday, Ceci!" I hope she has a day as fun as this card turned out!

D&D Cake Birthday

 For: Adam
Occasion: his birthday

Adam is learning and loving to play D&D in the Curry family's first campaign! To help celebrate his birthday, I drew a lovely birthday cake with seven star candles inside a d20 die. I had so much fun figuring out the perspective on this design (and tons of fun making the D&D sock puppet video, too!). I love my sweet nephew and cannot believe it's been seven years since he joined the team!

Floating Birthday

 For: Christina
Occasion: her birthday

I wanted to wish Castelli some seriously chill vibes for her birthday, so I made this rendition of a gal floating in a pool! I love how this card turned out and how the splotches become water and just a few colors make the figure pop. What a dream this design is -- I hope Castelli has the very best birthday and gets lots of opportunities to chill this year!

Piñata Birthday

 For: Alex

Cat Yarn Birthday

 For: Jess
Occasion: her birthday

For Jess's birthday card this year, I re-featured everyone's favorite three-legged cat Babs! This year, she has gotten tangled up in a yarn skein that has spelled out "happy birthday," as string seems to do in birthday cards! I hope Jess is doing great and looking forward to a fun summer with her little family!

Berry Mother's Day

For: Mom
Occasion: Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year, I made my mom a berry-themed card to celebrate! She's the big mama berry with her three little baby berries. I love how happy these berry ladies are hope Mom's garden flourishes this year!

Bubba Birthday

For: Megan
Occasion: her birthday

Megan got a sweet tattoo of a rainbow snake named Bubba, so I did an interpretation of the character for a happy little birthday card! I love its sweet little hat and spunky tongue and shiny eyes. It was so fun having a poetry open mic with Megan on the big day itself! I can't wait to see what incredibleness this next year brings for 'em!

Lava Lamp Birthday

 For: Lexi
Occasion: her birthday

Lexi is a very cool person, so for her birthday card, I created an illustration of a lava lamp! I am a particular fan of how the white ink gives both the lamp and the letters some depth. The text reads, "Have a groovy birthday, Lexi!" I really like this card a lot and hope she has the best day and year!

Liz Birthday

 For: Liz
Occasion: her birthday

To help Liz celebrate her birthday, I created a swirly bubbly font to spell out her name in blues with line details. The light blue background is then accented with even lighter blue lines and vines! I have been having so much fun playing with hand-drawn fonts this year and hope Liz has the best year yet!

D&D Birthday

 For: Kevin
Occasion: his birthday

To help Kevin celebrate his birthday, I captured the Fang mountain range and the channels from his epic campaign in a D20 die! I am quite pleased with myself for being able to capture such an epic piece of his creativity in some creativity of my own. Here's hoping Kevin has the most amazing day and year full of adventure and victory!
