New Baby Welcome

 For: Nowickis
Occasion: New Baby

Little miss Madeline joined us with a full head of hair! To celebrate Adam and Jody's daughter joining us all, I made a drawing of her little baby head paired with a "welcome, madeline!" message. I hope the early days of parenting have been a big adventure with a few moments of sleep, too!

8 Years to Infinity

 For: Michael
Occasion: Our Eight year dating-i-versary

Mike and I have been a couple for eight years now! To celebrate the eighth anniversary of our first date, I drew silhouettes of us in each other's arms, with me knocking down an 8 statue so that it becomes an infinity statue! Because why not? I admit the concept is elaborate, but it almost works. Good thing I'll have forever to fine tune it!

Birthday Cake

 For: Lydia
Occasion: her birthday

To celebrate Lydia's birthday, I did a simple illustration of her holding a birthday cake and wearing a party hat. I love how sweet it is and hope it helped her have a wonderful day!

Robot Birthday

 For: Alex
Occasion: his birthday

For Alex's birthday card, I made a shiny robot holding a cake and balloon with a binary "Happy Birthday" message running in the background! Well, it's probably actually "Happy Birthday Happy Bir" due to the space. Anyway, it was so nice to briefly see Alex so close to his birthday--I hope this year is the best one yet!

Cats Birthday

 For: Jessica
Occasion: her birthday

To celebrate my favorite cat lady's birthday, I did an illustration of Jess's two kitties! I had such a good time studying their little faces and spots and trying to get the whiskers right. Look at these two -- are you kidding? I hope they looked at their mom just like this on her big day!

Good Place Birthday

 For: Aunt Sioux
Occasion: her birthday

Aunt Sioux is a The Good Place fan, so for her birthday card, I did an illustration of Michael's mid-life crisis: "Birth is a curse and existence is a prison." It is such a great show, and I was so happy to be able to feature it in a card for my dear Aunt! I'm so glad she had a lovely birthday and it was awesome to see her so close to the big day.

Smiley Birthday

 For: Ceci
Occasion: her birthday

For Ceci's birthday card this year, I drew lots of happy smiley faces facing every which way! The middle one (upright with an orange outline!) has "Happy Birthday, Ceci" circling around its cute face. I hope Ceci has the best day ever and is looking forward to a year of all kinds of adventures!

Beach Birthday

 For: Goober
Occasion: his birthday

To celebrate Goober's big day (and send good vibes for his beach honeymoon coming to fruition!), I created a simple watercolor of the ocean with a Happy Birthday message dug into the sand. I love dreaming of the ocean when summer gets closer--I hope all Goober's birthday dreams come true!

Fish Bowl Birthday

 For: Adam
Occasion: his birthday

Adam and fam got a fish tank recently, so for his birthday I created a cling film fish bowl with a brightly colored fish in a party hat inside! I had all the fun in the world hanging out with this little guy over his birthday week and I love him so much I can't handle it. I hope he has the best year ever and I can't wait to see him again soon!

Dancing Birthday

 For: Janet
Occasion: her birthday

For my Mother-in-law's birthday, I did a paper collage of her and my father-in-law dancing the night away! I had a lot of fun cutting out the different pieces to get the movement and energy of this card all together. I hope she has a wonderful birthday and is ready for another great year!

Baby Onesie

For: The Fecamis
Occasion: New Baby

To celebrate the arrival of baby Fecami, I drew this sweet little onesie with his name on it and a big red heart painted red! I hope Lids and Peter are doing well ushering this little guy through his first weeks of life! What a gift to get a baby right before Mother's Day, too!

Get Well Heart

 For: Uncle
Occasion: Get Well Soon

A relative had heart surgery recently, so to wish him a speedy recovery, I created a 3D heart (on a paper spring) for a fun Get Well Soon card. Surgery is never fun, so I hope he's resting up and ready to be up and at 'em again soon!
