Birthday Cupcake

For: Riley
Occasion: her birthday
Riley loves Oreo cupcakes and requests them on her birthday every year! To help celebrate the big day, I did a watercolor of the tasty treat with some sparkly purple accents. This looks good enough to eat and I hope Riley enjoyed a helping or two of the real deal!

Cappy Birthday

For: Claire
Occasion: her birthday
To ring in Claire's birthday, I did a drawing of a internet-famous-ly chill capybara with lots of party parephenalia. I have enjoyed seeing videos of these goobers out in the world and hope this one brought Claire some peace on her big day!

Birthday Creature

For: Uncle Jer
Occasion: his birthday

For Uncle Jer's birthday card, I created a weird little long-legged lizard to help ring in the birthday festivities! He's got a birthday hat and a fine set of choppers to shout "Happy Birthday" in bubble letters. I adore Uncle Jer and hope this next year will be the best yet.

Slopes Christmas

 For: Michael
Occasion: Christmas

For Mike's Christmas card, I used brown paper and white pen to create this delightful gondola scene. I can't wait to start up our ski season together -- here's hoping we get plenty of snow in the mountains this year! Looking forward to an epic 2024 of whatever adventures await us!

Pikachu Christmas

 For: Owen
Occasion: Christmas

To help Owie have the happiest Christmas, I drew him a picture of Pikachu in a Santa hat with a present and candy cane! I wish I could see him playing Christmas-themed Pokemon with Adam, but am sure it will be tons of fun! I miss Owen so and hope to see him so much in 2024!

Pokeball Christmas

 For: Adam
Occasion: Christmas

Adam has taught me so much about Pokemon! For his Christmas card this year, I created a pokeball ornament and used a broken earring to make it look real! The tree branch is made out of strips of green paper that I glued on to emulate a tree. I miss my Adam so and hope he has the best Christmas!

Sloth Wreath Christmas

 For: Christy-Twin
Occasion: Christmas

To send The Twin the snuggliest Christmas vibes I could imagine, I drew her a Christmas wreath with a sloth hanging on! I drew a background door and am so pleased with how it turned out. I miss The Twin so and hope her Christmas is as fun as can be!

Santa Hoop Christmas

 For: Nathan
Occasion: Christmas

For Nathan's Christmas card this year, I did a silly illustration of Santa going up for a dunk! His peace sign doubles for the two points he is about to score. I love Santa's belly and knee brace -- I think Nathan could definitely take him. I hope he has a wonderful Christmastime!

Cat Tree Christmas

 For: Amy
Occasion: Christmas

Amy and Alex have the goofiest cat! They decided not to have a Christmas tree because of his antics, but I had fun imagining what it could have gone like. There's some silly fish ornaments and I love Catsby's surprised little eyes and mouth. I am bummed to not see Ames this Christmas, but hope she has a great time!

Coffee Christmas

 For: Alex
Occasion: Christmas

For Alex's Christmas card, I played on his penchant for coffee and made a snowman out of a mug stain (it's really watercolor)! This card concept just tickles me pink -- I hope Alex has enjoyed many caffeinated beverages this holiday season!

Skating Christmas

 For: Dad
Occasion: Christmas

I have many fond memories of skating with my Dad; to honor those happy times, I did this sweet illustration of he and I skating and making a heart with our blades. I feel like I really got the colors of our early '90s winter outfits in this one! I miss my dad so and hope he has the happiest Christmas!

Cel-e-brate Christmas

 For: Mom
Occasion: Christmas

My mom is a big Dr. Who fan! To help her celebrate the holidays, I created the most festive Dalek we've ever seen! Covered in tinsel and wearing a Santa hat, this guy has had a change of heart and wouldn't dream of exterminating us. I hope Mama has the very best Christmas!
