Occasion: his birthday
Among his many varied interests, Seth is an incredible baker. To celebrate this fact and his birthday, I did a watercolor illustration of a lattice cherry pie with his name on top; the name is a little crispy, which I am certain Seth would never allow to happen in real life--I needed some differentiation of the crust colors to make it work! I used some aluminum foil as the pie tin (hard to see in the pic -- click for enlarging). I hope Seth had the very best day and is looking forward to a year of many homemade tasty treats!
